Annual Convention

 

The Diocese of South Dakota holds its Annual Convention in the Fall of each year. Delegates from the parishes and mission churches around the diocese gather for a couple days of worship, business, and fellowship.

Preceded by a Clergy Conference, the convention is also a time for Diocesan Council and other committees to meet, for clergy spouses o re-acquaint and renew, and for host churches or deaneries to show their hospitality and coordination skills.

The 2007 - 2009 conventions will be held at Cedar Shore Resort in Oacoma, SD on the shore of the Missouri River.

• October 5-7, 2007 (Black Hills Deanery hosts)

• October 3-5, 2008 (Eastern Deanery hosts)

• October 2-4, 2009 (Northeast Deanery hosts)

The 2010 convention will be held at the Ramkota Hotel in Pierre, SD, in the center of the state.

• September 10-11, 2010 (Central and Northwest Deaneries host)

• September 9-10, 2011 (Rosebud and Pine Ridge Deaneries host)
