Applicability: Diocesan
employees.
Regular full time and regular part time employees
are eligible for holiday benefits upon employment. Regular part time employees
receive prorated benefits. The following paid holidays are observed during the
calendar year:
1. New Year's Eve Day (1/2 day), December 31
2. New Year's Day, January 1
3. Martin Luther King Jr., Birthday, 3rd Monday in
January
4. Good Friday, Friday before Easter
5. Memorial Day, 4th Monday of May
6. Independence Day, July 4
7. Labor Day, 1st Monday of September
8. Native American Day, 2nd Monday in October
9. Veteran's Day, November 11
10. Thanksgiving Day, 4th Thursday of November
11. Day following Thanksgiving Day
12. Christmas Eve Day (1/2), December 24
13. Christmas Day, December 25
Note: Designated holidays that fall on Saturday are observed on the
previous Friday. Designated holidays which fall on Sunday are observed on the
following Monday.
